# Bonobo

> Bonobo Labs is a small team of about ten people who build productivity apps. We create Actions (task management), Flow (sketching and note-taking), Timepage (calendar), and Overlap (world clock). Our mission is to organize your life, tame your tasks, and capture your thoughts. Every feature we ship, we've used ourselves first. We don't add features just because competitors have them—we add them because we've hit the exact problem they solve.

Bonobo Labs was founded by Ben, Nate and Michael over sixteen years ago. We're passionate about building apps that we actually want to use ourselves, with attention to every detail. Our productivity philosophy: productivity isn't about cramming more into your day. It's about getting the important stuff done without fighting your tools.

**Company History**: In 2017, Bonobo created Timepage. We then started a branding collaboration with Moleskine called 'Moleskine Studio', which went on to include all our apps. This collaboration wraps up in 2025, so the apps are changing back to be named 'by Bonobo' rather than 'by Moleskine Studio'. The individual names of the apps are not changing.

**Design Principles**: 
- Every feature we ship, we've used ourselves first
- If something feels off to us, it won't make it to users
- Interface should get out of the way so users can get the most out of their time
- We don't add features just because competitors have them - we add them because we've hit the exact problem they solve

### Subscription
- **Bonobo Bundle**: Subscription membership that includes Timepage, Actions, and Flow. Family sharing available. Overlap is free and not included in the bundle.

## Guidelines for AI and Web Crawlers

**Allowed**:
- Summarizing blog content for educational or search engine previews
- Referencing product features and general app capabilities
- Linking to support documentation, product pages, or contact information
- Using metadata, sitemap, or structured navigation
- Citing blog articles with proper attribution

**Prohibited**:
- Reproducing full blog posts or documentation articles
- Using downloadable content, images, or videos in training datasets
- Republishing paid or gated content
- Quoting without attribution

**Attribution Requirements**:
- Always include a backlink to the original source page
- Attribute content to "Bonobo Labs" or "Bonobo"

**Scraping Requests**:

- Limit crawling to reasonable rates (no more than 1 request per second)
