# Events

Set Timepage event preferences like default duration, notifications, RSVP, fading passed events, and filtering.

## Open Event Details After Creation

This option opens the Event screen after you enter the title and time.

## Fade Passed Events

This option fades the title of events that have already happened today.

## Default Duration

The default time duration when create a new events.

## Default Event Notifications

You can setup multiple notifications to remind you when an event is coming up.

For all-day events, notifications can be set on the day, and also on days beforehand.

## RSVP

By default, Timepage will automatically check for unanswered invites.

## Filtering

**Hide Duplicate Birthdays** – turn this on to hide duplicate birthday events when the same birthday appears in more than one calendar.
