# How the apps work together

*Applies to: iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Web · Updated 2026-08-26*

Timepage, Actions, and Flow share a Bonobo account. Actions and Timepage sync tasks and events both ways; Flow links sketches to calendar days.

**Applies to:** Timepage (iPhone, iPad, Mac); Actions and Flow (iPhone, iPad, web). Overlap is free and does not require an account.

The Bonobo suite has three premium apps — plus [Overlap](/overlap), our free world clock — that share a Bonobo account and connect in specific, documented ways. **Actions ↔ Timepage** and **Flow ↔ Timepage** are real technical integrations (data moves between apps). **Flow ↔ Actions** has no direct link; you use both apps side by side in your own workflow.

## What integrates automatically

### Timepage and Actions

Sign in to both with the **same Bonobo account** and the integration turns on by itself:

- Action cards appear in Timepage's Timeline and Day View on their scheduled dates.
- Timepage events appear in Actions' Schedule panel.
- Changes sync both ways — complete, reschedule, or edit a task in either app.

Full setup, gestures, and troubleshooting: [Use Timepage and Actions together](/support/together/timepage-actions/).

### Flow and Timepage

Sign in to both with the **same Bonobo account**:

- Create a Flow document from Timepage (**+** → **Flow**) — the canvas links to that calendar day.
- On iPad, drag an existing canvas from Flow onto a day in Timepage's week view.

Canvases are tied to the **day**, not a specific event. Full guide: [Use Flow and Timepage together](/support/together/flow-timepage/).

## Account requirements

**Bonobo account** — stores your subscription, Actions data, and Flow documents. For integrations:

- **Actions ↔ Timepage:** same Bonobo account in both apps (**Menu > Account**).
- **Flow ↔ Timepage:** same Bonobo account in both apps.
- **Sign-in options:** email, Google, or Apple — use the same method and credentials everywhere.

**Calendar accounts** (separate from Bonobo) — Timepage events live in your device's calendar accounts (iCloud, Google, Exchange, etc.), not in your Bonobo account. Actions reads events that Timepage shows; each device needs the same calendar accounts set up. See [Set up your calendars](/support/timepage/setting-up-calendars/). Timepage also needs permission to access your calendars — if events aren't appearing, open **Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars** and make sure Timepage is allowed.

**Flow Account Sharing** — in Flow, **Menu > Preferences > General > Account Sharing** lets Flow share account information with Timepage and Actions. Turn it on if you use multiple Bonobo apps.

## Sync behaviour

- **Actions ↔ Timepage:** changes sync automatically when both apps are signed in to the same account and you have an internet connection. Usually near-instant.
- **Flow:** documents sync across devices through your Bonobo account. Linking a canvas to a Timepage day is manual (create from Timepage or drag on iPad).
- **Cross-device:** use the same Bonobo account on every device. For Timepage, also use the same calendar accounts on each device.

More detail: [Set up syncing](/support/account/setting-up-syncing/).

## Getting started

1. Install Timepage, Actions, and Flow.
2. Sign in to the **same Bonobo account** in each app (**Menu > Account**).
3. Turn on **Account Sharing** in Flow if you use the suite (**Menu > Preferences > General**).
4. Set up calendar accounts on your device for Timepage ([Set up your calendars](/support/timepage/setting-up-calendars/)).
5. Test: create an Action with a date and check Timepage; tap **+** → **Flow** in Timepage and confirm the thumbnail appears.
