Fixes
A couple of layout and input bugs that snuck through into 4.5.2:
- Pen Dock and Pen Editor positions when rotating an iPad. They now stay where they belong instead of drifting after a rotation.
- Tapping the dropdown menu on the ruler with Apple Pencil. The tap now registers reliably.
Timelapse, properly working again
Export fixed. The timelapse export had been failing to render sometimes. That’s resolved now.
Choose your mode. A new mode picker on the timelapse settings lets you decide between a fixed total duration (the timelapse fits into the time you choose, regardless of how long the piece took to draw) and a fixed number of strokes per frame (each frame advances by a set number of strokes, so every brushstroke shows). Pick whichever fits the way you want to share the result.
Smoother view. When the timelapse is set to follow your strokes around the page, the view now moves between them with proper easing instead of snapping.
Stroke Eraser, back on duty
- The Stroke Eraser sometimes appeared to erase strokes that weren’t actually removed. The visual state now matches what’s actually on the page.
- Undoing erased strokes could occasionally cause a rift in the time space continuum. We patched that. Strokes you erase come back when you undo, every time.
Also
A few small touches that didn’t quite fit anywhere else:
- When you’re changing size, opacity, or pen type, the bubble that pops up now shows more detail about the control you’re adjusting.
- Tuned the airbrush to improve blending. Smoother gradients out of the box.
- Updated the layer-hide icon to something more visually distinct. Easier to scan a long layer list.
