Flow and Timepage work together so your sketches and visual notes sit with the right day in your calendar. There are two ways to link a canvas to a day: create a Flow document straight from Timepage, or drag an existing canvas from Flow onto a day. Either way the canvas is tied to that day (not to a specific event) and appears as a thumbnail you can tap to open in Flow.
Before you start
- Both apps installed — Flow runs on iPhone and iPad.
- The same Bonobo account signed in to both (open Menu > Account in each).
- Show Flow Documents turned on in Timepage’s settings, so linked canvases appear on your days. (If a canvas you expect isn’t showing, this is the first thing to check.)
Create a Flow document from Timepage
This works on iPhone and iPad, and the two apps don’t need to be on screen at the same time:
- In Timepage, tap the + button at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Flow.
- Flow opens and starts a new document for you — it’s created in a “Timepage” collection in Flow and linked to the day you were on.
- Draw your notes, then return to Timepage.
- Browse to that day and you’ll see a thumbnail of the canvas in the day’s Flow section.
- Tap the thumbnail to reopen it in Flow.
Drag a canvas from Flow to Timepage
If you already have a canvas in Flow, you can link it to a day by dragging it across. This needs both apps on screen, so it’s iPad only:
- Open Flow and Timepage together in Split View or Slide Over.
- In Flow, go to the collection view.
- Touch and hold the canvas you want to link.
- Drag it onto Timepage’s week view and drop it on a day.
- The canvas now appears on that day in Timepage.
How linked canvases appear
- They show in the day’s Flow section as thumbnails; tap one to open it in Flow.
- A canvas is linked to the day, and a single day can hold several canvases.
- Timepage refreshes the thumbnail as you edit the canvas in Flow, so it stays current.
If a canvas doesn’t appear
- Make sure Flow is installed and Show Flow Documents is turned on in Timepage.
- Confirm both apps are signed in to the same Bonobo account.
- This integration is iPhone/iPad only — it isn’t available on the web (the Flow web viewer is view-only) or on Mac (Flow doesn’t have a Mac app).
