Actions on Apple Watch

Applies to: iOS, watchOSUpdated August 2026

Applies to: Actions for Apple Watch, paired with an iPhone.

With Actions on your Apple Watch, your tasks come with you even when your iPhone isn’t to hand. You can add and complete actions from your wrist, add complications to your watch face, and everything syncs back to your iPhone.

Set up Actions on your Apple Watch

Make sure the Watch app is installed: open the Watch app on your iPhone and check that Show App on Apple Watch is turned on for Actions.

When you launch Actions on the Watch, your Lists appear underneath the Schedule button.

Add an action on Apple Watch

  1. Tap the List or Schedule you want.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the list and tap +.
  3. Enter your action details.

You can also complete or delete an action by tapping its card.

Complications

When you edit a watch face, you can add Actions complications to show:

  • your next action,
  • the number of actions remaining today, or
  • a quick-launch button to open Actions.

Each is available across a range of watch-face styles.

Force a sync

If your actions look out of date, scroll to the bottom of the list selector and tap Force Sync to pull the latest from your iPhone.
