Sync your Google Calendar with Timepage to access all your events, meetings, and appointments across devices. This guide covers Google Calendar setup, sharing, and troubleshooting.
Prerequisites

- Google account with Calendar enabled
- Internet connection
Setting Up Google Calendar Integration
Step 1: Add Google Account to Your Device
On iPhone/iPad:
- Open Settings App > Apps > Calendar
- Tap Calendar Accounts > Add Account
- Select Google
- You may need to tap Open Browser to open the browser to sign in
- Follow the prompts to sign in and give your device permission to access your calendar
- Tap Save
On Mac:
- Open System Settings > Internet Accounts
- Click Add Account > Generic
- Sign in with your calendar credentials
- Enable Calendars in the account settings
- Click Done
Step 2: Configure Timepage Calendar Settings
Once your Google Calendar Account is set up on your device, Timepage will be able to see the list of calendars for that account.
On iPhone and iPad:
- In Timepage go to the Menu
- Tap Calendars > Setup Calendars
- Find your Google calendars in the list
- Enable the calendars you want to see in Timepage
On Mac:
- In Timepage, go to Settings > Calendars
- Click the checkbox on each calendar you wish to show
Step 3: Choose Default Calendar and Colors
Set Default Calendar:
Tap the Default Calendar to choose a different one from the list. You can only choose from visible calendars. When you create a new event in Timepage, it will save it to this calendar unless you change it.
Calendar Color Setup:
- Tap the colored circle next to the Calendar name to choose a new color
- Choose from different palettes (Mono, Vivid, Pastel, Muted, Dark)
- Confirm your selected color by tapping the tick button, or tap Back to retain the existing color

Troubleshooting Google Calendar Integration
Calendar Not Appearing
Problem: Google Calendar doesn’t show up in Timepage
Solutions:
- Verify Google account is added to device settings
- Check that Calendars is enabled for the Google account
- Ensure Timepage has calendar permissions
- Try removing and re-adding the Google account
Sync Issues
Problem: Events not syncing between Google Calendar and Timepage
Solutions:
-
Check internet connection
-
Verify Google account is signed in properly
-
Check sync settings:
- Go to Settings App > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts > Fetch New Data
- Where possible, set each account to Push as this is fastest
- Set the Fetch schedule to choose how often data is synced
-
Some services (like iCloud and Gmail) support Push for near-instant updates, but some accounts may only allow Fetch
-
If ‘Push’ is unavailable for your account, your device will check for updates at the interval you set in ‘Fetch New Data’
-
Restart Timepage
Missing Events
Problem: Some Google Calendar events don’t appear in Timepage
Solutions:
- Check calendar visibility in Timepage (Menu > Calendars > Setup Calendars)
- Verify the events aren’t in a hidden calendar
- Check if events are in the correct date range
- Ensure the calendar is properly shared if it’s a shared calendar
Duplicate Events
Problem: Events appear multiple times
Solutions:
- Check if you’re subscribed to the same calendar multiple times
- Verify calendar sharing settings in Google Calendar
- Check for duplicate calendar accounts in device settings
Allow System Permission
Timepage requires your permission to access calendars on each device that you use. When you first open Timepage we’ll ask for this permission and hopefully you said yes, however if you accidentally said no…let’s fix it!
iPhone and iPad:
- Go to the Settings App > Privacy & Security > Calendars
- Tap Timepage then select Full Access
Mac:
- Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars
- Find Timepage and enable calendar access
- If set to Add Only Access, tap Options and select Full Access
Note: Timepage is a calendar app, so we need to see your calendar. Remember, your calendar data is stored by your Calendar Account provider (such as Google) so this permission is just for us to be able to show your events on-device, they aren’t sent to our servers.
