Timepage Outlook Integration Guide - Complete Setup & Troubleshooting
Timepage Outlook Integration Guide
Connect your Outlook calendar with Timepage to sync events, meetings, and appointments across all your devices. This guide covers Outlook 365, Outlook.com, and Exchange Server integration.
Prerequisites
- Timepage app installed on your device
- Outlook account (Outlook 365, Outlook.com, or Exchange Server)
- Internet connection
Setting Up Outlook Calendar Integration
Step 1: Add Outlook Account to Your Device
On iPhone/iPad:
- Open Settings App > Apps > Calendar
- Tap Calendar Accounts > Add Account
- Select Exchange or Outlook
- You may need to tap Open Browser to open the browser to sign in
- Follow the prompts to sign in and give your device permission to access your calendar
- Tap Save
On Mac:
- Open System Settings > Internet Accounts
- Click Add Account > Generic
- Sign in with your calendar credentials
- Enable Calendars in the account settings
- Click Done
Step 2: Configure Timepage Calendar Settings
Once your Outlook Calendar Account is set up on your device, Timepage will be able to see the list of calendars for that account.
On iPhone and iPad:
- In Timepage go to the Menu
- Tap Calendars > Setup Calendars
- Find your Outlook calendars in the list
- Enable the calendars you want to see in Timepage
On Mac:
- In Timepage, go to Settings > Calendars
- Click the checkbox on each calendar you wish to show
Step 3: Choose Default Calendar and Colors
Set Default Calendar:
Tap the Default Calendar to choose a different one from the list. You can only choose from visible calendars. When you create a new event in Timepage, it will save it to this calendar unless you change it.
Calendar Color Setup:
- Tap the colored circle next to the Calendar name to choose a new color
- Choose from different palettes (Mono, Vivid, Pastel, Muted, Dark)
- Confirm your selected color by tapping the tick button, or tap Back to retain the existing color
Tip: You can match colors that have been set somewhere else to the closest color in Timepage by turning on “Auto match colors to Timepage colors”.

Troubleshooting Outlook Integration
Calendar Not Syncing
Problem: Outlook events don’t appear in Timepage
Solutions:
- Check internet connection
- Verify Outlook account is properly configured in device settings
- Ensure Timepage has calendar permissions
- Try signing out and back into your Outlook account
- Check if your organization has calendar sync restrictions
Events Missing or Duplicated
Problem: Some events are missing or appear multiple times
Solutions:
- Check calendar visibility settings in Timepage
- Verify you’re not subscribed to the same calendar multiple times
- Clear Timepage cache and restart the app
- Check Outlook web for calendar visibility settings
Sync Delays
Problem: Changes take too long to appear
Solutions:
- Check your device’s sync settings:
- Go to Settings App > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts > Fetch New Data
- Where possible, set each account to Push as this is fastest
- Set the Fetch schedule to choose how often data is synced
- Some services (like iCloud and Gmail) support Push for near-instant updates, but some accounts (like certain Outlook/Exchange configurations) only allow Fetch
- If ‘Push’ is unavailable for your account, your device will check for updates at the interval you set in ‘Fetch New Data’
- Restart Timepage
Permission Errors
Problem: “Access Denied” or permission errors
Solutions:
- Verify calendar permissions in device settings (see below)
- Check if your Outlook account has calendar access enabled
- Contact your IT administrator if using Exchange Server
- Try removing and re-adding the account
Allow System Permission
Timepage requires your permission to access calendars on each device that you use. When you first open Timepage we’ll ask for this permission and hopefully you said yes, however if you accidentally said no…let’s fix it!
iPhone and iPad:
- Go to the Settings App > Privacy & Security > Calendars
- Tap Timepage then select Full Access
Mac:
- Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars
- Find Timepage and enable calendar access
- If set to Add Only Access, tap Options and select Full Access
Note: Timepage is a calendar app, so we need to see your calendar. Remember, your calendar data is stored by your Calendar Account provider (such as Outlook) so this permission is just for us to be able to show your events on-device, they aren’t sent to our servers.
Advanced Outlook Configuration
Exchange Server Setup
For corporate Exchange accounts:
-

- Ensure your device supports your organization’s security requirements
- Install any required certificates
- Enable two-factor authentication if required
Multiple Outlook Accounts
To use multiple Outlook accounts:
- Add each account separately in device settings
