How to Share Calendars in Timepage - Google, Outlook & iCloud Guide

Timepage supports iCloud, Google, and Exchange calendars - follow the instructions below for how to share your calendar with someone. If you’re setting up a calendar for the first time, please see Setting Up Calendars.

If you’re not sure what type of calendar you have, you can check in the iOS Settings app, under “Accounts & Passwords”.

Apple / iCloud calendars

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Tap “Calendars” at the bottom of the screen (it may be an icon).
  3. Scroll down to Add Calendar, or find the one you want to share.
  4. Tap the i icon next to the calendar in the list and go to the “Shared with” section. Tap “Add Person”. Here you’ll be able to choose who the calendar is shared with.

Now, you can go back to Timepage. You should see the calendar’s events in the app, and you and the person you’ve shared it with will be able to update/add/delete events from it.

FAQ: Calendar Sharing

How do I share my calendar with someone?

The process depends on your calendar service:

  • iCloud: Use the iOS Calendar app to share calendars
  • Google Calendar: Use Google Calendar web to share calendars
  • Outlook/Exchange: Use Outlook web or desktop app to share calendars

Can I share calendars between different services?

No, you can only share calendars within the same service. For example, you can share an iCloud calendar with another iCloud user, but not with a Google Calendar user.

Why can’t I see a shared calendar in Timepage?

Make sure you’ve accepted the sharing invitation and the calendar is enabled in your device’s calendar settings. Then check that it’s visible in Timepage’s calendar settings.

How do I stop sharing a calendar?

Use the same calendar app where you originally shared the calendar to remove sharing permissions.

Can I share multiple calendars at once?

Yes, you can share multiple calendars, but you need to share each one individually through your calendar service.

What permissions can I set when sharing calendars?

Permissions vary by service but typically include:

  • View only: Others can see events but not edit them
  • Edit: Others can add, edit, and delete events
  • Manage: Others can manage sharing settings

Why isn’t my shared calendar syncing?

Check that both you and the person you’re sharing with have the same calendar service and that sharing permissions are set correctly.
