Set up your calendars

Applies to: iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOSUpdated August 2026

Applies to: Timepage on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

Timepage shows the calendars your device is signed in to — it doesn’t store your events itself. So setting up your calendars is two steps: add a calendar account to your device, then choose which of its calendars to show in Timepage. Here’s how it fits together, and how to do both.

How calendars work in Timepage

  1. Your Bonobo account stores things like your subscription, preferences, Actions, and Flow documents.
  2. Your calendar events live in your calendar accounts — services like iCloud, Google, Microsoft Exchange, or Outlook that you’ve connected to your Apple device.
  3. Each account can contain several calendars — for example an iCloud account with Home and Family calendars, plus a Google account with its own.
  4. Event syncing is automatic — edit an event in Timepage and it syncs to every device connected to that account, and vice versa. Usually fast, occasionally a moment.
  5. Each device needs the same accounts set up — to use Timepage across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, add the same calendar accounts on each.
  6. Timepage needs permission to access your calendars, or it can’t display your events.

In short: Timepage doesn’t store your events (your calendar accounts do); Actions and Flow documents do live in your Bonobo account.

Add a calendar account

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account.
  2. Then either:
    • Choose a service — tap iCloud, Google, Microsoft Exchange, and so on, and enter your details; or
    • Add a CalDAV account — tap Other > Add CalDAV Account and enter your server and account details; or
    • Subscribe to an .ics calendar — tap Other > Add Subscribed Calendar and enter the .ics URL.

If the account is already listed, check its Calendars toggle is on: tap the account and switch Calendars on.

On Mac: open System Settings (or System Preferences on macOS before Ventura) > Internet Accounts, then select an existing account and enable Calendars, or click Add Account, choose Google, iCloud, Exchange, Outlook, or Other, sign in, and enable Calendars.

On Apple Watch: no separate setup — your Watch shows whatever is set up on your iPhone.

Choose which calendars show

Once your accounts are on the device, Timepage can list their calendars.

On iPhone or iPad: open the Menu > Calendars > Setup Calendars and tap a calendar name to show (tick) or hide (untick). Only ticked calendars show their events.

On Mac: open Settings > Calendars and tick each calendar you want to show.

Default calendar: tap Default Calendar to choose where new events save (visible calendars only).

Hide duplicate birthdays

If the same birthday appears in more than one calendar, tell Timepage what your birthday calendars are called so it can hide the duplicates. Go to Menu > Calendars > Birthday Calendars and tap the default word “Birthdays” to change it (for example, to “Bdays”).

Connecting a specific service

Frequently asked questions

Does Timepage store my calendar events?

No. Your events stay in your calendar accounts (iCloud, Google, Outlook, Exchange). Timepage only displays and syncs with them on your device — nothing is sent to our servers.

What calendar services does Timepage support?

iCloud, Google, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and any CalDAV-compatible service.

Can I use more than one calendar account?

Yes. Add each account to your device (iCloud, Google, Outlook, Exchange), then enable its calendars in Timepage.
