Share a calendar

Applies to: iOS, iPadOS, macOSUpdated August 2026

Applies to: Timepage on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Calendar sharing is handled by your calendar service — iCloud, Google, or Outlook — not by Timepage. You share a calendar in that service, and once it’s shared it appears in Timepage for everyone who has it. If you’re not sure which service a calendar uses, check Settings > Apps > Calendar > Accounts on your device. (Setting up a calendar for the first time? See Set up your calendars.)

Apple / iCloud calendars

  1. Open the Apple Calendar app.
  2. Tap Calendars at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Find the calendar you want to share (or scroll to Add Calendar to make one).
  4. Tap the i next to the calendar, go to Shared with, and tap Add Person to choose who to share with.

Back in Timepage you’ll see the calendar’s events, and you and the people you shared with can add, edit, and delete events.

Google calendars

Share from Google Calendar on the web — see How to share your Google calendar. The shared calendar syncs to your device and then appears in Timepage.

Outlook / Exchange calendars

Share from Outlook on the web or desktop — see Share an Outlook calendar. The shared calendar syncs to your device and then appears in Timepage.

Good to know

You can only share a calendar within the same service — an iCloud calendar with another iCloud user, a Google calendar with another Google user, and so on. The permission level (view-only, edit, or manage) is set in the calendar service too, not in Timepage. Once a calendar is shared, make sure it’s enabled in your device’s calendar settings and ticked in Menu > Calendars > Setup Calendars so it shows in Timepage.

Frequently asked questions

Can I share a calendar between different services?

No. You can only share within the same service — an iCloud calendar with another iCloud user, a Google calendar with another Google user, and so on.

Why can't I see a shared calendar in Timepage?

Accept the sharing invitation, make sure the calendar is enabled in your device's calendar settings, then check it's ticked in Timepage under Menu > Calendars > Setup Calendars.

What permissions can I set?

It depends on the service, but typically view-only, edit (add/change/delete events), or manage (change sharing). Set these in the calendar service, not Timepage.
