Applies to: Timepage on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Timepage doesn’t connect to Outlook directly — it shows the calendars your device is signed in to. So syncing Outlook with Timepage is two steps: add your Outlook account to your device, then turn its calendars on in Timepage. This works for Outlook 365 and Outlook.com; for a corporate Exchange Server account, see Connect an Exchange calendar.
Add your Outlook account to your device
On iPhone or iPad:
- Open Settings > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts.
- Tap Add Account, then select Outlook.com (or Microsoft Exchange for a work/365 account).
- If prompted, tap Open Browser to sign in.
- Follow the prompts to sign in and allow access to your calendar.
- Make sure Calendars is turned on for the account, then tap Save.
On Mac:
- Open System Settings > Internet Accounts.
- Click Add Account and choose Microsoft Exchange (or Outlook.com).
- Sign in with your credentials.
- Turn on Calendars in the account settings, then click Done.
Turn your Outlook calendars on in Timepage
On iPhone or iPad: open the Menu > Calendars > Setup Calendars, find your Outlook calendars, and enable the ones you want to see.
On Mac: open Settings > Calendars and tick each calendar you want to show.
Set a default calendar and colours
Tap Default Calendar to pick which calendar new events save to (visible calendars only). To recolour a calendar, tap the coloured circle next to its name, choose a palette (Mono, Vivid, Pastel, Muted, Dark, Neon), and confirm with the tick. Match to Timepage colours snaps a calendar’s existing colour to the closest Timepage one.
What syncs
Changes sync both ways and are usually near-instant: create or edit an event in Timepage or Outlook and it appears in the other. Recurring meetings sync, you can accept or decline invitations from Timepage, and shared or team calendars you have access to in Outlook appear too, with Timepage respecting Outlook’s permissions. To use both personal and work accounts, add each to your device and enable its calendars in Timepage.
Troubleshooting
Outlook calendars don’t appear / aren’t syncing
- Check your internet connection and that the Outlook account is set up in your device settings with Calendars turned on.
- Make sure the calendar is enabled in Menu > Calendars > Setup Calendars.
- Confirm Timepage has calendar permission (below).
- Sign out and back in to the account, and check whether your organization restricts calendar sync.
Changes are slow to appear
Check Settings > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts > Fetch New Data. Turn on Push where available; some Outlook/Exchange configurations only allow Fetch, so set the schedule there. Restarting Timepage can help.
Events missing or duplicated
Confirm calendar visibility in Setup Calendars, check you aren’t subscribed to the same calendar twice, and review calendar visibility in Outlook on the web.
“Access denied” or permission errors
Timepage needs calendar permission on each device — your data stays with Outlook; the permission is only so Timepage can display events on-device.
- iPhone/iPad: Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars, tap Timepage, choose Full Access.
- Mac: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars, enable Timepage (if set to Add Only, open Options and choose Full Access).
If you’re on a corporate account, your IT administrator may need to allow calendar access.
