How to Use Multiple Calendars in Timepage - Complete Guide

After you set up your calendars in iOS and allow Timepage access (read more about this process in Setting Up Calendars), your different calendars will appear in Timeline under their respective color. Any calendar that you’ve added in iOS will be added to Timepage, so you don’t have to worry about adding anything new.

Supported Calendar Services

Timepage works with multiple calendar services, allowing you to combine calendars from different sources:

  • iCloud Calendar - Your personal Apple calendar
  • Google Calendar - Gmail and Google Workspace calendars
  • Microsoft Outlook - Outlook 365 and Outlook.com calendars
  • Exchange Server - Corporate Exchange calendars
  • CalDAV - Any CalDAV-compatible calendar service

For detailed setup instructions for each service, see our integration guides:

Managing Multiple Calendars

Showing and Hiding Calendars

You can control which calendars are visible in Timepage without affecting your device’s calendar settings:

On iPhone and iPad:

  1. In Timepage go to the Menu
  2. Tap Calendars > Setup Calendars
  3. Find your calendars in the list
  4. Enable the calendars you want to see in Timepage

On Mac:

  1. In Timepage, go to Settings > Calendars
  2. Click the checkbox on each calendar you wish to show

Note: This action will not add or delete a calendar from your device – it will simply display or remove it from Timepage until you return to the setting and toggle it back on or off.

Setting Default Calendar

Choose which calendar new events will be saved to by default:

  1. In the Setup Calendars screen, tap Default Calendar
  2. Select your preferred calendar from the list
  3. You can only choose from visible calendars
  4. When you create a new event in Timepage, it will save to this calendar unless you change it

Customizing Calendar Colors

Make it easy to distinguish between different calendars by setting unique colors:

  1. Tap the colored circle next to your calendar of choice on the “Setup Calendars” screen
  2. Choose from different palettes (Mono, Vivid, Pastel, Muted, Dark)
  3. Pan around the various color choices by swiping directionally on the color bubbles
  4. Tap the icon to confirm your changes

Tip: You can match colors that have been set somewhere else to the closest color in Timepage by turning on “Auto match colors to Timepage colors”.

After confirming, make sure none of your calendars have conflicting colors; if so, it might get a little confusing.

Condensed Events (macOS)

You can choose certain calendars to show their events in a condensed form, reducing clutter on your calendar. This is especially useful for shared calendars, colleague’s calendars, or birthday calendars that you don’t need to see in full detail.

Condensed events appear as colored rectangles on your calendar. Hover your cursor to show more information.

Setting Up Condensed Events

In Timepage for macOS > Settings, you can choose Event visibility for each calendar:

  • Condense scheduled events - Condenses any event with a regular time
  • Condense all-day events - Condenses events that are scheduled for all day

This helps keep your main calendar view clean while still showing important information from multiple calendars.

Calendars in Heat Map

Heat Map was built to help you identify the busiest days across all your calendars, circling days with events and darkening these circles if there are multiple events on a day. This view gives you an immediate idea of what’s coming up, when you have free time, and the days that are better left untouched.

Viewing Individual Calendars

When viewing Heat Map, the default view shows the sum of all events across every calendar you have in Timepage. However, you can view individual calendars:

  1. Look for small filled circles at the bottom of the screen representing each individual calendar
  2. Tap and hold on this area and move your finger from right to left
  3. You can see each individual calendar’s events right on the Heat Map
  4. As you move, the calendar will be identified at the bottom

Event List

Below the Heat Map is a running list of a day’s events, which displays:

  • Calendar color for easy identification
  • Event time
  • Event title
  • Calendar source
